Pisgah Domes were better than perfect. Every detail, ease of checking in and check out, amenities, great location to incredible hikes, waterfalls, food and breweries. It was the perfect weekend, and we will absolutely be booking again.

This is the second time I’ve stayed at the Hummingbird Dome. It’s absolutely beautiful snd and a wonderful home base for hiking in western NC. My dog and I were here during the snow storm and John was a great host, checking on us during the cold temps. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

The nicest glamping dome we have ever stayed in! The owners thought of every consideration you could need! It’s comfortable & has an amazing view, but we spent most of our time in the outdoor living space. From the hot tub, grill, sauna, cold plunge, and fire pit, we were entertained the entire stay! The entire experience was amazing, and it’s located right in the midst of some of the best hiking the area has to offer!

Pisgah Domes is exactly what my husband and I needed for a refreshing weekend to start the year! Everything was just as amazing as their advertisements! Everyday was so peaceful, quiet, refreshing, and relaxing. The hot tub and sauna were extremely clean- the dome itself was clean and tidy. They made the entire stay so easy and accommodating- there was no hassle of checking in or checking out. This was the perfect couples weekend! We will definitely be returning for our future yearly couples retreat!

This unique experience was exactly what my wife and I were looking for in a long weekend getaway. The dome was very comfortable and the views were amazing from sunrise to sunset, without the need to leave the bed. We took full advantage of the sauna and hot tub and they made for an even better overall experience. The surprise snowfall on the final night was a pleasant surprise. John was responsive to all of our communication needs, and was willing to go above and beyond should we need anything. We can’t wait to return when we get an opportunity.

Amazing experience. The location is perfect, not too far from town and really close to hiking, but a secluded feel. Designed as almost a wellness center with sauna, cold plunge, and hot tub, it feels more than simply a place to stay.

I honestly can’t say enough good things about Pisgah Domes. The family who runs it is wonderful, and they’ve thought of the sweetest touches — from s’mores kits to having the firewood chopped and ready when you arrive. We ordered the steak and veggie meal kit along with a charcuterie board, fresh sourdough bread, and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and made us feel cared for and completely pampered. The property itself is amazing. There’s a three-level deck with swings, a fire pit, and outdoor lights that make the evenings feel magical. Inside, it has all the comforts of home with a mini fridge, freezer, and even a dishwasher. The Blackstone grill was perfect for cooking. For relaxation, health and fun, there’s a hot tub, a sauna, and even a cold plunge (my first time ever getting in one). You can also rent a Polaris for exploring or use it to get up the hill to the dome if you don’t have four-wheel drive. Otherwise, it’s just about 60 steps to walk up — easy and worth it for the privacy and views. My Subaru made it up just fine but we lived driving the Polaris around. The location is perfect, too. You’re right near Brevard and Pisgah Forest with some of the best trout fishing around. If you’re lucky, you might even spot one of Brevard’s famous white squirrels. This place has everything you could hope for. It felt private, luxurious, and incredibly thoughtful. Definitely a five-star stay!

Spectacular! Beautiful views in a quiet setting. After a day of hiking, it was great to hit the cold plunge and the sauna. My wife preferred the hot tub!

This house was so cozy, it felt just like home. You can hear the river from the porch which makes for a very relaxing outdoor space. The hosts provide fishing poles, firewood for purchase, stocked cabinets, board games, smart tv, etc! The hot tub is a nice touch as well. Everything is labeled and easy to find. There are lots of little details that made our stay great! 15-20 mins from town and a very private large lot.

A magical spot! Views from the bed and deck are amazing. Sauna/cold plunge/hot tub were enjoyed immensely. All details taken care of by the hosts. Highly recommend.

We stayed in the dome on their property recently and it was amazing! The dome was extremely clean and well stocked with everything you needed! The views were great and the amenities were even better! No need to leave when you can relax with the hot tub, sauna, cold plunge and fire out! Great getaway!

We were double booked for another Airbnb after driving eight hours from Saint Augustine, Florida from another host, we had perishable goods and nowhere to go. We went back to Airbnb trying to find another place and found this one. John and his wife got back to us and said the place wasn’t ready but they would drive 45 minutes to get it ready and cleaned. We got here they’re almost done. They let us put our stuff in the refrigerator and we had an amazing experience. Thanks again for the Carolina hospitality.

A truly magical place, the pictures don’t do it justice. The dome is bigger than I expected, plenty of room to be comfortable and the panoramic window is amazing. The sauna and cold plunge were a great bonus, especially after a long day of hiking, and the view from the hot tub can’t be beat. Our hosts were fantastic, responsive than helpful. We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful trip to this property and would definitely stay again! The house was extremely clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The porch was great with the swinging chair, hot tub, and beautiful view. We (and our dogs) especially loved that the entire property is fenced...lots of room to roam, and we saw several deer each day! The host, John, was extremely easy to communicate with - readily accessible for any questions and also very helpful. He even went out of his way to accommodate an unexpected last-minute change in our plans so that we didn't have to cancel the stay. Great experience all around!

Wonderful relaxing vacation celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary. The house was just as expected but better. The beds and bedding were all very comfortable. We have rented homes throughout the US and Caribbean and I have to say this was probably the best I’ve ever slept on vacation. The best attribute that sets this rental apart from others is the check in and out experience. The home was stocked with everything you would need and not just one roll of toilet paper or one dishwasher pod, we had every necessity we needed for the week. The check out experience was just as good with no long list of chores to complete. We would definitely rent again and would recommend to anyone visiting the highlands area.

John was amazing. Every last detail of the dome was setup perfectly. Robes, charging station, very clean, and very comfortable! One of the best Airbnb experiences I’ve had. Will definitely be coming back asap.

We had an amazing time at this beautiful cabin! It was spacious, well-equipped, and perfectly located near waterfalls, trails, and Brevard. The fenced yard was perfect for our dog, and the hot tub was such a treat — especially on the chillier, drizzly evenings. We loved the thoughtful local tips and had a blast canoeing at Headwaters Outfitters and celebrating with BBQ and beer afterward. You can tell the owners take great pride in their home — we’re so grateful for such a wonderful mountain getaway!

Such an amazing stay! They thought of everything! We would absolutely stay here again! Conveniently located to many trails as well as a cute downtown with something for everyone.

Fantastic spot for relaxing, cooking, hot tubbing, playing board games and watching movies! Very close to numerous hikes, and has a private, quiet feel even with being near the Grand Olde Station restaurant. During the winter, the view of Lake Toxaway from the dining table is stunning!

This is our first house rental and they set the bar really high. This has a great layout and the house has all the amenities you could ask for. If you have a dog, be sure to walk the perimeter daily to inspect the fence. Our pup found an opening, but we were able to get her back. We didn’t do much sightseeing, but we did spend time with family. Overall this is an amazing place and we will hopefully be back. Be sure to check out Oscar Blues (Brewery and food truck). The White Squirrel Arcade in Brevard really took me back to my childhood will ALL of the classic games. Visit Main St in Brevard.

Hands down one of our favorite Airbnb experiences! John, our host, was extremely thorough and communicative from the moment we booked. He made sure we had all the info we needed before the trip, including directions in case GPS failed us. Right before check in we got an interactive digital guidebook which was really cool and informative. Check in was a breeze with the keyless entry. Once inside we were greeted with a welcome basket full of goodies, robes and slippers and comfy towels for the spa and sauna. The Kuerig had some local coffee pods (great coffee btw) and the kitchen had all the essentials you need. The bathroom is stocked with tons of towels and the shower has shampoo, conditioner and body wash as well. I love that the bathroom also had its own heater, especially for the cold mornings and evenings! The view is absolutely fantastic from the dome, down to the spa deck and even down to the fire pit! John offered to have the sauna warm for us upon arrival. The hot tub was amazing and we had an incredible view of the moon and the stars while we relaxed. The sauna was just what we needed after a long trip and I enjoyed using the eucalyptus oil over the stones to make the experience even better. We enjoyed the fire pit and love that there was tons of wood available for us to purchase so we didn’t have to find it on our own. The king sized bed was so comfortable and loved that there were extra blankets if we needed them. The electric fireplace was a nice touch as well, and really liked the special details of having a charging station, an Alexa by the bed, a temp gauge to show the indoor and outdoor temps, a luggage rack and a bench at the end of the bed. We cooked all of our meals on the Blackstone which was awesome to have. There was one issue with the propane tank and John responded immediately and took care of us. It was great getting to talk to him while he rectified the issue. A few things to note. If you will be at the dome for an extended period of time, there is only a mini fridge so plan to bring a cooler if you’re bringing food and drinks with you! There’s no microwave but the toaster oven worked just fine for us to heat things up. Check out was also a breeze as they only asked us to remove the trash and to put the dishes in the dishwasher. Talk about easy!! We have already talked about booking another stay here and can’t wait.

We had the most amazing family getaway at the Lake Toxaway rental. The hosts are amazing and provide everything you need to have a great time. My kids loved playing with the games and the Wii, having a fire and relaxing in the hot tub. I especially enjoyed watching the wildlife from the balcony every morning as the sun rose. It’s so close to beautiful Lake Toxaway I felt like we didn’t even need to leave to see beautiful views. Thank you so much for your hospitality. I would recommend this stay to anyone looking for a wonderful getaway in a beautiful area.

I stayed at the Looking Glass Dome. This was my first getaway since Hurricane Helene, and I live in an area that was impacted severely. Just one night at the dome and I felt completely revived. The simplicity/minimalism of the décor; closeness to nature; yet luxury of the hot tub and sauna all fit my style and needs perfectly. The host is attentive and eager to please. Highly recommended.

Incredible spot to relax and recharge, and a great base camp for exploring all the glories of Pisgah National Forest. The holy trinity of sauna, cold plunge and hot tub is perfect for post ride recovery. If you can drag yourself out of the supremely comfortable bed and its amazing view! Host is super friendly and attentive and the place has just about everything you could need.

We had the best time at John’s home!! The whole house is newly renovated and CLEAN!! The beds were comfy and the kitchen had everything that we needed! The home is tucked away and very private with views of the lake that is across the street. The kids loved the ping pong table while the adults sat by the nearby fire pit! We spent the day hiking to amazing waterfalls! Trail entrance was only a 15 minute drive! We were even lucky enough to see the white squirrels playing in the yard multiple times! We loved every minute of our time at this beautiful home!! Will be back for sure!!

Loved the hot tub and being surrounded by the trees. It’s like living in a tree house! This was my first vacation in over 10 years and I couldn’t have picked a better place to unwind, relax and recharge. Loved the area and all the waterfalls, especially the French Broad Falls straight down the street. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Beautiful home! I looked at so many cabins for our trip and this one rose to the top and delivered. The property is what I loved most. It’s literally cut into the mountainside, with a picturesque river at the bottom. Fully fenced. Very private. Fabulous hot tub. Comfortable inside and out. Highly recommend.

We stayed for my birthday weekend and had a wonderful time! Peaceful, quiet, close to Cashiers and Brevard and a local restaurants and shops. Close to Gorges State park and many other trails for hiking or you can just relax at the house !

Great stay and comfortable for all. Great location close to the lake for boating, Panthertown for hiking, and waterfalls in Gorges State Park. Clean and had everything we needed. It rained most days, but hot tub was still great and under cover to relax at night. The restaurant down the driveway was convenient as well. Highly recommend.

The house was great! Even though it was high up the mountain it was a perfect retreat for our crew! The house was clean and well equipped. The basement had a ping pong and air hockey that kept the family in laughs and fun times when we weren’t out in nature hiking waterfalls and rafting down rapids! There isn’t any cell service on the mountain but the house has great wifi.

What a wonderful place to stay for the last few days while visiting family in Lake Toxaway! This cute cabin was tucked off the main road, was charming, very clean, extra cozy, and had everything we could have possibly needed. There were multiple options for sleeping, all of which were extremely comfortable, and each night, our family of 4 slept like babies! There were 2 large smart TVs with every streaming app you could imagine. The front porch was lovely to sit outside in the morning and have a nice cup of coffee/tea or just to read a good book surrounded by gorgeous nature. We enjoyed the hot tub which was immaculately clean and enjoyable after a long day of hiking or out on the lake. We loved having the ability to cook our own food each day in a well-equipped kitchen. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed playing ping pong in the garage basement and it was lovely having a washer and dryer to use at the end of our trip. Our host, “John” was very responsive and checked in with us a few times to make sure our stay was top notch. The check in/out process was super easy. Our family would highly recommend this cabin for the perfect little getaway! 5 Stars ⭐️

Our family had a wonderful time. We loved the property and access to the river. I really enjoyed taking my book and coffee and sitting on a big rock down by the water. My kids fished quite a bit. Hot tub was great, loved the fire pit and horseshoes! Overall the house was really nice, very comfortable furniture. I think we all slept well here! Thanks again for our stay. We would love to return someday!
